Custom Corporate Gifts Built From Real Retired Skis and Snowboards
Somewhere in every office there is a closet with eleven branded fleece vests in it, three logo umbrellas and a box of pens. Nobody remembers who gave them out or why. Now picture the guy who retired last spring, and the ski chair on his back deck with the company mark across the seat back and his years of service painted into the color underneath. He tells people about that chair. Nobody has ever told a story about a vest.
This is the gift side of the shop. Client thank you pieces, closing gifts, retirement and service awards, tournament prizes, booth giveaways and annual recognition programs. Everything is built to order in Manitou Springs, Colorado, from real retired skis and snowboards, hand painted in your colors, and finished with your logo applied the way a logo should be applied.
The pieces run from a single Alpine ski chair to a full run of matched chairs for an awards program, plus benches, cornhole sets and oversized XXL chairs. If you need branded work for your own lobby instead, that lives in our office solutions category. This page is about the pieces that leave with somebody.

Branded ski chairs
Painted in your brand color with the logo floated on as a decal. Built from four to five pairs of retired skis on a Douglas Fir base, so no two are identical.

Ski cornhole board sets
Made from repurposed skis, two boards per set, weather resistant. Popular as a tournament prize and as the thing that keeps the company picnic going.

XXL chairs and benches
The oversized builds go up to 96 inches tall by 52 deep and 42 wide. A gift that takes three people to sit in and a truck to deliver.
Client gifts that do not end up in a drawer
The whole problem with corporate gifting is that most of it is disposable and everybody knows it. A ski chair is not. It goes on a deck and it stays there, in the weather, for years, with your name on it, in front of every guest that person ever has over. Real estate offices use them as closing gifts. Breweries and ski shops send them to distributors. Equipment dealers hand them to the account that finally signed.
The specs are the reason they last. Exterior oil paint that is colorful and weatherproof, a Douglas Fir base, a cup holder made from a repurposed ski binding, 400 lb weight capacity and a 3 year hassle free warranty. Feel free to snuggle with your sweetie. Standard Adirondack builds measure 45 inches tall by 36 deep by 32 wide, with a 55 inch version, comfortable for people from 3 feet to 6 feet 10. The Alpine build is a smaller footprint at 36 by 30 by 25.
Retirement gifts and service awards
This is the most common reason people call us about a branded gift, and it is the one we like best. Thirty years of work does not get honored by a plaque with a small brass plate on it. A chair does the job. So does a bench, especially when the whole team signs off on it before it goes home with the person.
What we can put on it
- Your company logo, applied as a decal over the hand painted background color.
- Hand painted background artwork, including a mountain range, a resort profile or a scene that means something to the person.
- Names, dates, years of service and short messages painted into the design, quoted by the hour before we start.
- Team colors, school colors or the colors of the place they spent every vacation.
- Aluminum or plastic appliques instead of a decal when you want the mark to stand off the surface.
- A rocker conversion, because a retirement gift that rocks is a joke that writes itself and also a genuinely nice chair.
Tournament prizes and event giveaways
Golf scrambles, ski races, sales contests and charity auctions all have the same problem, which is that the prize table looks like a raffle at a county fair. A branded ski chair on that table changes the energy of the whole event. Cornhole sets come as two boards, made from repurposed skis, weather resistant and painted to match your brand.
The XXL chairs deserve a mention here. At 72, 84 or 96 inches they stop being furniture and start being a photo op. Booths, county fairs, dealership lots and grand openings are where these end up, usually with a line of people waiting to sit in one.
Bulk orders and annual programs
Runs are common and repeat runs are more common still. If you give out three awards a year, tell us at the start and we will keep your colors and artwork on file so year four matches year one instead of being close enough. Volume gets quoted as a run rather than one at a time.
One thing to know before ordering a set. A single Adirondack ski chair takes four to five pairs of retired skis, so a matched pair takes eight to ten pairs, and a snowboard chair needs at least three boards. We source real retired gear, so a run of a dozen matched chairs is a genuine material hunt on our end. Give us the lead time and we will get it right.
How your logo goes on
Worth being precise about, because this is where branded gifting usually goes sideways. Hand painted murals are painted by hand in exterior oils and are never a decal. A logo is a different thing entirely. A logo is never painted. We paint the background in your brand color, let it fully cure, then float your logo onto that painted surface as a logo decal, so the mark holds its exact shape and exact color on every piece in the run.
Marketing departments are particular about their mark, and they are right to be. A brushed approximation of a trademarked logo is not what anybody wants photographed at an awards dinner. Aluminum and plastic appliques are the alternatives, each priced differently, and the logo can sit on the front or the back. Branded pricing depends on artwork, finish and quantity, so we quote it on a call.
Lead time, shipping and getting started
Made to order work runs two to four weeks, and some pieces are ready to ship right now. Most chairs ship free to the lower 48, and we deliver locally throughout Colorado including Colorado Springs, Denver, Breckenridge, Vail and Aspen. Order the base product and size, note the logo in your order notes, and we will call to work out artwork, placement and finish before anything gets built.
Frequently asked questions
Can you add a name, a date or a message for a retirement gift?
Yes. Names, dates, years of service and short messages get painted into the design by hand, quoted by the hour before we start so there are no surprises. Put what you want in the order notes, or call and tell us the story, which gives us more to work with.
Can you ship it straight to the recipient instead of to our office?
Yes, and a lot of gift orders go out that way. Give us the delivery address at order time. Just know these are large pieces that show up in a big box, so if it is meant to be a surprise, plan on somebody else signing for it.
Is there a minimum order, or can we buy just one?
One is fine. Plenty of these orders are a single chair for a single person. Volume runs get quoted differently than a single piece, so if you know you want more than one, say so up front and we will price it as a run.
How far ahead should we order for a December gift or a summer tournament?
Give us four weeks and you are safe. Made to order work runs two to four weeks and the holiday season is our busiest stretch, so a late November call about a December gift is cutting it close. If you are late, call anyway. Some pieces are ready to ship and we will tell you honestly what is possible.
We give these out every year. Will next year match this year?
If we know that is the plan, yes. We keep your artwork and your paint colors on file for repeat programs. Paint batches do drift over time, so tell us at the start that this is an annual thing and we will handle it deliberately rather than guessing later.
What does a custom corporate gift cost?
It depends on the piece, the artwork, how the logo goes on and how many you need, which is why branded pricing gets quoted on a call rather than listed. Call 303.775.7273 with your logo files, your quantity and your date and we will give you a real number.
