Golf chairs built from real clubs
Everybody keeps the clubs. The driver you replaced two seasons ago, the irons from the set you actually learned on, the putter that betrayed you at exactly the wrong moment. They sit in the garage in a bag nobody has zipped shut in years, and throwing them out feels wrong in a way that is hard to explain to anyone who does not play. A golf chair is what happens when you stop apologizing for that.
Colorado Ski Chairs has been building Adirondack furniture by hand in Manitou Springs, Colorado since 2007. The golf chair is the same idea as our ski chairs with a different set of raw material: real irons and woods, not decorative replicas or castings, worked into a solid Adirondack frame and finished in dark walnut. They are built to live outside, and they are comfortable enough that the golf chair usually becomes the one everybody in the house fights over.

Real clubs, not replicas
Actual irons and woods worked into the seat back, which is why no two chairs are quite identical.

Putting green cupholder
A cupholder set into a patch of putting green turf. Either a nice touch or the entire point, depending on who you ask.

Built from your own clubs
One chair takes a full set, eleven or twelve clubs. Send yours and it comes back as something you can sit in.
What we build
Single chairs, matched pairs, rocking and standing bases. The Signature Golf Club Chair is where most people start. The Deluxe Golf Club Adirondack Chair adds an optional matching ottoman, which matters more than it sounds like it should after eighteen holes. For a pair side by side there is a Dark Walnut set of two and a Deluxe set of two, plus the Grey Base Golf Chair if you want the lighter finish.
A chair from your own clubs
The Sentimental Golf Club Chair is ordered as a gift more often than anything else here. Send us the clubs, drop them off, or we will pick them up anywhere in Colorado, and they come back as something you can sit in. Retirements, milestone birthdays, a club championship, or a set that belonged to someone who is not around to play them anymore. One chair takes one full set of clubs, eleven or twelve, so if you are a club or two short we fill in the blanks from our own stock and match what you sent. If the clubs are long gone entirely, we will build it from ours instead.
Customizing it
Ask for design changes, ski arms, wooden seat boards, or a different stain. We can hand paint the front board with your home course, a tournament date, or a name. Club and company logos are the exception: those go on as a decal rather than paint, because a logo has to hold its exact shape and color, and aluminum or plastic appliques are available if you want the mark to read as hardware. Front or back, either works. A few options carry an additional fee, so call 303.775.7273 and describe what you are picturing rather than guessing from a listing.

Frequently asked questions
Are the golf clubs real?
Yes. Every chair is built from actual irons and woods rather than decorative replicas, which is why no two are quite identical.
Can you use my own golf clubs?
Yes, that is the Sentimental Golf Club Chair. Ship them, drop them off, or we will collect them anywhere in Colorado. If your clubs are already gone, we will build it from ours.
Is it actually comfortable, or is it mostly for looking at?
It is a full size Adirondack chair with a proper seat angle, and people sit in them for hours. The optional ottoman is worth it.
Can it stay outside all year?
Yes. The chairs are weatherproof and rated for indoor or outdoor use, and carry a three year warranty.
Can I order a matching set?
Yes. Matched pairs are standard, and larger runs for a club, a course or an office are built to order in the same finish.
How long does an order take?
Most golf chairs are made to order, typically two to four weeks. Local delivery covers Colorado Springs, Denver, Breckenridge, Vail, Aspen and most of the state, and we ship nationwide to the lower 48.
More questions people ask when buying for a golfer
What is a good gift for someone who likes golf?
Golfers buy their own clubs, their own gloves and their own gadgets, and they have opinions about all three. What they do not buy is something made out of the clubs they already retired. A chair built from a full set, sitting on the patio, is the rare golf gift that does not end up in the garage next to the last three golf gifts.
What to buy a golfer who has everything?
Take the set they replaced and build it into furniture. Almost every serious golfer has an old set in a closet that they cannot bring themselves to sell, and a chair takes one full set, so eleven or twelve clubs. Ship them, drop them off, or we will collect them anywhere in Colorado. If the old set is already gone we will build it from ours and nobody will know the difference except you.
What is something every golfer needs?
Somewhere to sit after the round and something to put the drink on. That is the whole design brief for these chairs, which is why the putting green cupholder gets ordered more often than not. Add the ottoman if the round was long.
