Ready to ship, because sometimes two to four weeks is two to four weeks too long
Almost everything we make is built to order, and most people are happy to wait for something made by hand. But sometimes there is a date involved. A birthday you forgot until Tuesday. A closing gift. A patio that needs to look finished before people arrive on Saturday. This page is everything already built and sitting in the shop.
These pieces are finished, photographed and waiting. No build queue, no color decisions to make, no back and forth. They leave our Manitou Springs workshop in days rather than weeks, and they are the same handmade quality as everything else we build, because they were built the same way. They simply came off the bench before you asked.

Already built
What you see is the actual piece you get. Nothing is waiting on a queue or a color decision.

Out in days
Ships from Colorado on UPS, FedEx or freight for the larger pieces, rather than the usual two to four weeks.

One of a kind
Every piece here is made from real retired gear, so when one sells it is genuinely gone.
What tends to be here
Chairs and sets
Single chairs like the Tall Alpine Compact Chair, and matched pairs and fours such as the Set of 2 Ski Chairs and the Set of 4 Alpine Ski Chairs. Sets are the ones that disappear fastest, because building a matched set to order takes the longest.
Tables and benches
The Customizable Single Snowboard Coffee Table turns up here regularly, and doubles as a boot bench.
Wall art and smaller pieces
Colorado Mountain Mural Ski Wall Art, the Antique Crossed Skis Coat Hook, and carved wooden bears in two sizes.
Gifts under a few hundred dollars
If you are here because of a date rather than a room, the 2-Boot ShotzSkis and the Ski Pole Plungers are the two things people buy at the last minute and then tell us about afterwards. The plunger is exactly what it sounds like and it has never once been described as a boring gift.
How fast is fast
Ready to ship items normally leave the shop within a few business days of the order. Smaller pieces go parcel on UPS or FedEx. Chairs, benches and sets go freight, which takes longer in transit and needs somewhere the pallet can be set down. If you are working to a specific date, call us on 303.775.7273 before you order and we will tell you honestly whether it will make it.
Local delivery covers Colorado Springs, Denver, Breckenridge, Vail, Aspen and most of the state, and is usually the fastest option of all.
Frequently asked questions
How quickly does a ready to ship order actually leave?
Normally within a few business days. That is the difference between this category and the rest of the site, where pieces are built to order over two to four weeks.
Is the quality different from a made to order piece?
No. These are built exactly the same way by the same people from the same real retired skis and snowboards. They simply came off the bench before you ordered.
Can I still customize something in this category?
Generally no, because customizing means building it, which puts it back into the normal queue. If you want your own colors or a logo, start from Custom Designs instead and allow the usual lead time.
Will it arrive before a specific date?
Often, but call first rather than guessing. Transit time depends on size and destination, and freight is slower than parcel. We would rather tell you no in advance than miss it.
Why do items disappear from this page?
Because each one is a single physical object made from a particular set of retired gear. When it sells it is gone, and the next one will be similar but never identical.
Do you restock the same designs?
Similar designs, yes. Identical ones, no. The skis and boards we get in determine what gets built, which is why no two pieces here match exactly.
More questions people ask about lead times
How long does custom made furniture take?
Across the industry, eight to twelve weeks is normal and upholstered pieces often run longer. Here it is two to four weeks for a made to order piece, because everything is built in one shop in Manitou Springs rather than ordered from a factory. Anything in this Ready to Ship category is already built and normally leaves within a few business days.
How long does it take to build a piece of furniture?
The bench work is only part of it. A chair is cut, drilled and assembled in a matter of days, and then the painting and the curing set the pace, because exterior oils need time and a mural is done by hand rather than printed. That is where most of the two to four weeks goes. Rushing the finish is the one thing that shows up three winters later, so we do not.
How much does it cost to get furniture custom made?
Custom usually carries a premium of thirty to fifty percent over a comparable catalog piece, which is why most custom furniture is expensive. Ours is priced on each product page rather than quoted blind, and choosing your own colors, mural or personalization does not by itself change the price on most pieces. Logos, branded work and large matched sets are quoted, so call 303.775.7273 and we will price it properly.
Not in a hurry? Everything else is made to order and can be built in your colors. Start with Adirondack Ski Chairs, Benches or Gift Items. Or call 303.775.7273 and tell us the date you are working to.
