Aurora over a mountain range is a strange thing to paint, because the color has to look like it is moving while sitting perfectly still. Our painters run the greens and violets across the ski backs of both chairs so the sky reads continuous when you set them side by side. Underneath, a dark walnut stain on the Douglas Fir keeps it from tipping into a black light poster.
