You know the sign. It sits at the state line and it means the drive is almost over. We rebuild it from repurposed barnwood, letters painted white by hand, at 36 inches wide, which is the size that actually reads across a living room instead of getting lost above a couch.

Barnwood is not uniform, which is exactly why we use it. Some boards come in silver grey, some hold a little of the original red, and the nail holes and saw marks stay. The white letters are painted over that surface by hand, so the texture reads through the paint instead of sitting on top of it. Hanging hardware is on the back and it goes up with two anchors.
