Description

Some chairs are quiet. This is not one of them. Our artists work the portrait up slowly, brush stroke by brush stroke, over a field of red, gold and green, and the result is the chair everyone at the party ends up sitting in. It has no business being this comfortable, and yet.

  • Portrait art hand painted in high quality exterior oils, colorful and weatherproof.
  • Measures 45 inches tall by 36 inches deep by 32 inches wide, comfortable for people from 3 feet to 6 feet 10.
  • Built in Colorado from retired skis on a sturdy Douglas Fir base, with the ski topsheets left visible where they belong.
  • Each chair uses four to five pairs of retired skis, which is a lot of gear saved from the dump.
  • Includes a cup holder that used to be a ski binding, which is about as relaxed as a second career gets.
  • 400 lb weight capacity and a 3 year hassle free warranty.
  • Ships free to the lower 48.
  • Can be built as a rocker for $75 more using repurposed oak wine barrel slats.

This one goes to backyards, basement bars, brewery patios and one very memorable ski shop in a town we will not name. Because it is hand painted rather than printed, no two come out quite alike, and small details shift depending on which artist has it on the bench that week. We do other portraits and music themed murals as well, so if there is a different face, a lyric or an album cover you have in mind, ask us about it. Portrait work is quoted individually since the hours vary with the level of detail, and we will always tell you up front what a given design will take.
