Look at the seat back and you get a mountain sunset. Look at the front board and you get the Colorado flag, red C and all. They read as two separate pieces until you sit down and realize they are describing the same afternoon. Both are painted by hand in exterior oils, one chair at a time.

The paint is the same high quality exterior oil we use on everything, meaning it stays bright through a full season of sun, snow and the odd hailstorm. Nothing about this chair needs to come inside for the winter.
