Original price was: $2,495.00.Current price is: $2,495.00. $1,497.00

John Muir got there first, and the line still works: the mountains are calling and I must go, lettered across a hand painted range in exterior oils. It is an Adirondack chair built in Colorado from four to five pairs of retired skis on a sturdy Douglas Fir base. One of our fine art pieces, currently on the clearance list.

Description

The lettering runs across the seat back, over a painted range that fades from evergreen at the bottom to snow at the top. Read it from the yard and it is a chair. Read it from three feet away and it is a poster somebody made real.

This one lives in our Fine Art group, which is the shorthand for pieces where the painting took as long as the building. Every mural is done by hand in exterior oil paint, which is why the color holds up outside and why no two chairs come out identical.

  • Adirondack ski chair, 45 inches tall by 36 inches deep and 32 inches wide.
  • Four to five pairs of retired skis go into a single chair, which is a lot of somebody’s old season passes.
  • Sturdy Douglas Fir base, built in Manitou Springs, Colorado.
  • Fits people from 3 feet to 6 feet 10 tall, and dogs claim them immediately.
  • Custom ski binding cup holder included, sized for a stein rather than a shot glass.
  • 400 lb weight capacity with a 3 year hassle free warranty. Yup.
  • Can be built as a rocker for $75 more, on repurposed oak wine barrel slats.

Putting together a matched group around a fire pit? We build them to match, same mural, same palette, so the ring looks intentional instead of collected. We can also swap the quote for a family name, a summit elevation or a date that matters to you.
