Oak wine barrels get retired long before the wood is done working, and this side table is what we do about that. It stands 18 by 19 by 18 inches, small enough to slide between two chairs and heavy enough that a gust off the mountain does not relocate it. The wine is long gone. The oak stayed, and it kept the color the wine left behind.
