Blue Forest Mountain Fade Adirondack Ski Chair

$695.00

Deep blue up top fading down through a stand of dark evergreens to the seat, the way a valley looks at dusk from the top of the last groomer. This is a classic Adirondack ski chair built in Colorado from four to five pairs of retired skis on a Douglas Fir base. The fade is hand painted in exterior oil, so it holds its color outside all year.

Description

A fade is harder to paint than it looks. This one starts deep blue at the headrest, works down through a tree line of dark evergreens, and lands soft where you sit. From six feet away it reads like a valley at dusk. Walk up close and you can still make out the shape of the skis underneath, which is the whole idea.

  • Measures 45 inches tall by 36 inches deep and 32 inches wide, comfortable for people from 3 feet to 6 feet 10. Dogs work it out immediately.
  • Constructed in Colorado from four to five pairs of retired skis on a sturdy Douglas Fir base. No two chairs get the same skis, and that is on purpose.
  • Painted with high quality exterior oil paint that is colorful and weatherproof.
  • Includes a custom cup holder made from a repurposed ski binding, left obviously a binding for the same reason the skis stay visible.
  • 400 lb weight capacity, built to sit outside in the weather all year.
  • 3 year hassle free warranty. A real person answers the phone.
  • Can be made into a rocker for $75 more using repurposed oak wine barrel slats.

The blue fade suits a shady porch, a lakeside dock or a cabin that already has plenty of brown in it. If your place runs greener, or you want the tree line pushed higher or lower on the back, say so and we will paint it that way. Buyers often order a second one later, so we keep notes on the mix.
