A full moon, a treeline, and one very large Sasquatch caught mid stride in front of it. The mural is hand painted in exterior oils on a hybrid chair built in Colorado from retired snow gear over a Douglas Fir base. Proof is hard to come by, but the paint is weatherproof.

This is an actual single chair off the lift at Sun Valley, Idaho, the first ski chairlift ever built in North America. Not a replica and not a tribute build, it is the real retired hardware with the miles still on it. There is one of it, and it is ready to ship.

This one carries the mountains are calling across a sunset ridgeline, with pinecones painted along the front board where your heels rest. It is an Adirondack ski chair built in Colorado from four to five pairs of retired skis on a sturdy Douglas Fir base. Hand painted in exterior oil, and one of a kind by definition.

A real snowboard mounted horizontally, hand painted with a sunset mountain mural, carrying five triple hooks along the bottom. It is wall art that happens to hold every coat in the house.

A fly line unrolling over the water with the mountains going orange behind it, painted by our premier artist across this hybrid ski and snowboard chair. Built in Colorado from retired skis and snowboard on a sturdy Douglas Fir base and finished in weatherproof exterior oil. The one place your backcast will never catch a willow.

John Muir got there first, and the line still works: the mountains are calling and I must go, lettered across a hand painted range in exterior oils. It is an Adirondack chair built in Colorado from four to five pairs of retired skis on a sturdy Douglas Fir base. One of our fine art pieces, currently on the clearance list.

Chair number 3 came off Aspen Mountain, wrap-around safety bar and all, and it is looking for a second career on your patio. We weld it onto a stand up frame or a hanging swing mount, powder coat the steel in the color you pick, and build a new wooden seat stained to match. Roughly 91 inches tall by 26 deep by 45 wide, though every original wanders a little.

A genuine three person chair retired from SnowRiver Mountain Resort in Michigan, rebuilt as a standing bench or a hanging swing. Roughly 91 inches tall by 26 inches deep and 60 inches wide, powder coated in any color you pick, with a new wooden seat stained to match. Sixty inches wide means three people fit without negotiating.

Three across, straight off the cable at Powderhorn Ski Resort on the Grand Mesa. It comes with a wooden seat and back rest, and we can weld a stand up frame and powder coat the whole works in any color on the chart. Roughly 82 inches tall by 24 deep by 74 wide, give or take, since every original is its own animal.

A real three person chair retired from Loveland Ski Resort, and this one arrives with the welded base and the wood seat already done. Pick your powder coat color and your stain, and it goes from the delivery truck to the middle of your patio the same afternoon. Roughly 82 inches tall by 24 deep by 74 wide, with slight variation because every original is unique.

The mountains are calling, and here the line sits under a sunset ridgeline painted across a hybrid ski and snowboard chair, which is a better home for it than another coffee mug. Built in Colorado from retired skis and snowboard on a sturdy Douglas Fir base. Hand painted in exterior oil and finished as one of our fine art pieces.
This is the outdoor furniture clearance corner. Everything on this page is already built, already painted and sitting in the shop in Manitou Springs, Colorado. One of a kind pieces, marked down, sold exactly as shown in the photo.
Some of it is a design we tried once and will not repeat. Some of it is a show piece that came home from an event. Some of it is an original chairlift bench that exists at all because one resort retired one lift. When a piece sells, it is gone and the page just gets shorter. That is the whole idea.
Not because anything is wrong with it. These are one of a kind builds, show pieces, single leftovers from a set and designs we are finished making. Same retired skis, same Douglas Fir base, same exterior oil paint and same weatherproof build as everything else we sell.
Not exactly. The murals are painted by hand and the retired skis that went into a given piece are used up. We can build you something close as a custom order, and it will end up being its own thing. Call and we will talk it through.
Fast, because it is already built, so there is no two to four week wait. We deliver locally across Colorado including Colorado Springs, Denver, Breckenridge, Vail and Aspen, and we ship to the lower 48. If a piece is speaking to you, do not think about it for a week.
